What Happens?
How I work
Counsellors aim to help you cope with feelings, issues, events, relationships, past hurts and present problems in a confidential, safe and private space. Finding the right counsellor is important, you need to feel safe, respected, listened to and encouraged to be yourself. I will not judge you or tell you what you should do.
No two people are the same, individuals experiencing different events sets us apart from the next person so what we present in counselling is unique to us and should be recognised and valued. If it matters to you then it matters to me, nothing is too big or small to bring to the counselling room.
What happens next?
If you would like to find out more about how counselling works and how I could help then please use the contact form.
What happens on the first meeting?
This is an opportunity for us to meet and for you to ask any questions which you may have about how I work and what you can expect from counselling. All counsellors have their individual way of working and I believe it is important that a client meets the counsellor to decide whether it feels right for them.
How much does it cost?
I charge £40 per session - each session lasting for one hour.
How often would I need to be seen?
I usually recommend seeing a client weekly at first but it can vary considerably according to individual’s needs. This will be agreed between us, and it can be reviewed regularly.
